Functional Skills

RQF including CACHE

RQF (Regulated Qualifications Framework) replaced QCF qualifications in 2015. RQF qualifications are available from Entry Level 1 up to Level 8. You will have a choice of subjects ranging from Business to Health Care or Education.

CACHE (Council for Awards in Care, Health and Education) qualifications are recognised as part of the RQF framework.  As you can probably tell, subjects specialise in Health Care and the Education sector. They are part of NCFE and used by colleges all over the UK.

Some NCFE CACHE courses also offer UCAS points which will be stated on the individual course pages. This can help when applying to University.

Consider starting with tasks that are more difficult, as this will improve the effectiveness of your study and your performance. Building a study plan may help keep you on track with your learning objectives ensuring that everything is covered. It will also help to revise regularly to keep everything fresh in your mind.

Whilst it can be good for you to look for answers to your queries online independently, it is great to check in with your tutor so that they can also advise you and provide you with help.
