Course Description

This Distance Learning Customer Service Diploma course has been specifically developed to enable those who are working, or hoping to work, in a customer service role, in any type of organisation or context, to gain and develop, a level of understanding and skills that will help them to service customer requirements in a professional, effective, and efficient manner.

This is an increasingly competitive world and there are many organisations, which on the face of it offer potential customers the same products or services. Delivering effective customer service is essential to the success of all organisations whether they be in the private, public or not for profit sectors. This course has been designed to equip the student with the knowledge, understanding and skills to deliver effective customer service irrespective of the type of organisation in which they are working or intend to work.

The programme consists of nine modules, each of which relate to a particular aspect of customer service.

Previous Knowledge Required

You do not need any prior learning knowledge or experience to take this course. This course is openly available to anyone who wishes to take part in a highly rewarding home study course, although you would be expected to have a reasonable standard of literacy.

You have the freedom to start the course at any time and continue your studies at your own pace for a period of up to 12 months from initial registration with the full support of your Tutor.

You must successfully complete a series of activities and assessments. Once all assessments and activities have been completed satisfactorily, you will then be awarded your certificate. The good news is, there is no final exam.

Awarding Organisation

At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement by ABC Awards and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the details all of the units you have completed as part of your course).

The course has been endorsed under the ABC Awards’ Quality Licence Scheme.  This means that NCC Home Learning has undergone an external quality check to ensure that the organisation and the courses it offers, meet certain quality criteria.  The completion of this course alone does not lead to an Ofqual regulated qualification but may be used as evidence of knowledge and skills towards regulated qualifications in the future.  The unit summary can be used as evidence towards Recognition of Prior Learning if you wish to progress your studies in this sector.  To this end the learning outcomes of the course have been benchmarked at Level 3 against level descriptors published by Ofqual, to indicate the depth of study and level of difficulty involved in successful completion by the learner.
