Course Description

Sociology and Social and Political History Diploma Bundle. The Sociology Diploma course is about developing a critical understanding of society, and through this understanding providing a basis for underlining and explaining social problems such as ill health, poverty and crime.

This Sociology Diploma course focuses on the study of the social world. It involves studying human beings and their behaviour patterns. In order to do this, we must focus on the way people form relationships and how these relationships, considered in their totality, are represented by the concept of a “society”. In this respect, the focus of the sociologist’s attention is group behaviour. That is, the effect that the groups people join or are born into (family, work, education and so forth) have upon people’s social behaviour.

The Social and Political History Diploma covers events from the Industrial Revolution to the Labour Party Victory in the 1990s. This is the voyage of gender and class struggles, the Victorians and their attitudes to society and crime. Social life, the economy, the way we worked, lived and socialised have all changed dramatically.

Learn how we used to treat the most vulnerable in our society or how political pioneers were to bring about radical changes and reform.

Our aim is to provide you with the best deal possible, therefore registration fee, certification fee and full tutor support is included in the course price for you.
